Ways to Volunteer

At the Bay Area Urban Debate League, we work on a variety of programs and tasks. If you are seeking to help out, then there are several options to choose from. We encourage you to think about the desired results of volunteering and also your schedule when joining the volunteer force that makes BAUDL possible. Toni Nielson, executive director, began her career in education as a volunteer for the Southern California Urban Debate League. She served as a mentor at Los Amigos High School in Fountain Valley. "The opportunity changed my life. My passion for teaching became apparent to me and suddenly my career path was clear. To this day, the students of Los Amigos are a huge part of my life. I highly encourage anyone thinking about devoting their life to education to start by mentoring a debate team."
