Student Leadership Council

What is the Student Leadership Council (SLC)?

Student Leadership Council is a program offered to BAUDL league debaters to dive deeper into the National Circuit of Debate representing BAUDL. In joining SLC, debaters have the opportunity to be coached by debaters from across the country. Student Leadership Council is for students looking for additional opportunities to learn more about the debate, become a team captain, travel around the country to tournaments, find a mentor, and learn about issues impacting their communities.

How to Join

  1. Inform your coach
  2. Inform BAUDL staff
  3. Attend weekly SLC practice Fridays on zoom or in person
  4. Self-select events in which you are interested

SLC meets every Friday in the BAUDL office from 4:00 - 6:30 P.M. at 287 17th St. Suite 201 Oakland, CA. Dinner is provided, and any transportation cost is reimbursed.
